Circus Center does not offer refunds in most cases. In cases of illness or injury, we may offer a class credit. In the rare event that a refund is issued, we reserve the right to charge a 10% transaction fee.
Full Session Enrollment
Session enrollments are allowed one make-up class per enrollment, whatever the reason (including illness, medical situation, bad traffic, work late, etc.). Session students may claim a credit for a missed class at the same or lower price point. This credit must be requested from the Student Services Team within one week of the absence as it will not be automatically applied. Because many classes are small and popular, Circus Center cannot guarantee that make-ups will be applied to the same exact class or the same instructor. Make-up class credits can be used until end of the session or 30 days, whichever is longer.
Medical Withdrawal: If a medical situation arises which will prevent the student from participating for the rest of a session, Circus Center will credit 50% of the remaining pro-rated tuition to the student’s account for future use. A doctor's note is required for medical withdrawal.
Single Classes and Class Packs
24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 24 hours of class, you forfeit your class credit. Exceptions *may* be made, but *only* in the case of injury or illness accompanied by a note from your physician. Medical exception requests must be made while the purchase(s) in question are still unexpired.
Should Circus Center cancel a class you are enrolled in, the class credit will be returned to your account. This credit will maintain the original expiration date. If you are uncertain of this date, please feel free to contact the front desk by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, to request this information.
You must be 16+ years of age and have the appropriate prerequisites to register for classes.
From the date of sale, all classes must be *taken* within:
- Single Class: one month
- 5-Pack: three months
- 10-Pack: six months
- 20-Pack: six months
BEHAVIOR AND PERSONAL CONDUCT
Circus Center promotes tolerance, respect, and positivity at all times. Circus Center’s primary goal is ensuring a safe, wholesome environment in which all members of the community may enjoy circus arts. Any individual who denies others the right to safe, respectful enjoyment of Circus Center’s facilities and offerings may be denied access to the facility and have any memberships or class reservations revoked (a pro-rated refund will be made for unused service fees). In extreme cases, such as those culminating in verbal or written complaints to Circus Center staff, an individual may be prohibited from entering Circus Center indefinitely. Such prohibition will be at the sole discretion of Circus Center staff.
Circus Center is committed to encouraging and sustaining a learning and work community that is free from prohibited discrimination and harassment. Circus Center prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, genetic information, or age in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid, employment, or any other Circus Center program or activity.
All persons entering the building for any reason other than attending a live performance must fill out our General Liability Release form. Minors’ forms must have the signature of their parent or legal guardian. You can fill out the form at the Front Desk, or you can download the form here, print it, fill it out and sign it, and bring it with you when you come for your class or event.
So long as Circus Center maintains a gym in operation at 755 Frederick St, San Francisco, California, the malfunctioning of any equipment and/or facilities at the gym or change or cancellation of any services shall not be a reason for which the Student can be entitled to any form of compensation.
Circus Center’s class schedule is subject to change without notice, and facilities may be closed for certain days or weeks, including, but not limited to, holidays and other events.
- Circus Center reserves the right to cancel any training class up to 24 hours in advance.
- Circus Center training is non-transferable.
- Circus Center training is non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for any reason.
- Circus Center must be notified 24 hours in advance if the Student is unable to attend a class for any reason. Class reservations may be cancelled online through the Student’s MindBody account, or through the Front Desk by phone (415-759-8123) or e-mail (info AT circuscenter DOT org). If a students cancels a reserved class within 24 hours of class start time or fails to attend a reserved class, s/he will lose their class credit for that class.
- Coupon users (Groupon, Bloomspot, etc.) get “three strikes and you’re out.” On the date of the 3rd no-show, a coupon user’s month ends.
- Circus Center non-session enrollment classes are ineligible for make-up. Session enrollments only are allowed one make-up class per enrollment. Session students may claim a credit for a missed class at the same or lower price point. - Current and accurate account information must be provided in the Student’s MindBody account. If the Student’s credit card fails to authorize for any reason, a $25 LATE FEE will apply if a valid credit card is not provided within 10 calendar days of the original rejection date.
- Class switching and trading spots with other students on rosters or waitlists is strictly prohibited.
- Students must be 16+ (unless otherwise noted) and have the appropriate prerequisites to attend classes.
WAIT LIST POLICY
It is necessary to “opt-in” for emails to use the waitlist feature for classes.
An email will be automatically sent to the email address on your account when you are added to a class from the waitlist. Please keep this information correct and make sure to add email@example.com to accepted addresses in your email to ensure your notification, you are responsible for charges incurred due to inability of proper notification within the above policies. You may choose to respond to this e-mail, accepting or declining your space on the roster.
Circus Center believes in small class sizes to ensure students receive the maximum attention from our world-class instructors. Waitlists are often generated by students competing for space. If you place yourself on a Waitlist, it is your responsibility to check on your status, and remove yourself if you are unable to attend the class.
You will not be automatically added to the waitlist if a space becomes available less than 24 hours prior to class start time. Please feel free to check class roster or contact front desk to see if last minutes spaces have become available.
These policies are in effect whether you have been “confirmed” from the waitlist or not.
15 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD
Classes have a 15 minute grace period at the start of class for students to arrive. If a student has not arrived within the first 15 minutes of class, they will not be admitted into the class for any reason.
If after 15 minutes a spot still remains unused, another student present in the building, may elect to take the open spot.
Arriving for a class after the 15 minute grace period will result in a “Late Cancel.”
PRIVATE LESSON CANCELLATION & MAKE-UP POLICY
If you are unable to attend your Private Lesson for any reason:
Circus Center must be notified 24 hours in advance in order to make-up a Private Lesson. You may cancel your Private Lesson by calling the front desk. Email cancellations are not accepted.
If Circus Center does not receive notification 24 hours in advance, a make-up Private Lesson will not be issued.
Private Lessons expire one month from their originally scheduled date.
Make-up Private Lessons may not be used as credits towards the purchase of other services.
All services must be paid in full when scheduled. No refunds, no transfers, no extensions of expiration dates. Exceptions to these policies may be granted for medical reasons at the discretion of management on a case-by-case basis. Medical exception requests must be made while the purchase(s) in question are still unexpired.
Once a service is purchased, it is not convertible to another service at Circus Center. For example, class credits may not be used toward Private Lessons, and Private Lessons may not be applied toward classes.
YOUTH PRE-PROFESSIONAL REFUND POLICYAug. 17 – Sept. 30: Any paid tuition will be refunded in full, less the nonrefundable $500 deposit and $50 uniform fee.
Oct. 1 – Dec. 14: Tuition will be prorated to 50% of total fees and will be due payable immediately, less the nonrefundable $500 deposit and $50 uniform fee.
Dec. 15 - May 27: Any remaining tuition balance will be due payable immediately. No refunds.
REFUNDS AND DATE CHANGES
Purchased weeks of camp cannot be rescheduled for another date. Those interested in changing dates of attendance should observe the cancellation policy below, and rebook accordingly.
You are entitled to a full refund of your payment, less a $25 processing fee, for any changes or cancellations made greater than 2 months in advance of the first day of the camp week you want to change or cancel. Any changes or cancellations made between 2 months and one month of the first day of the camp week you want to change or cancel will result in a loss of 50% of amount paid. Any changes or cancellations made within one month of the first day of the camp week you want to change or cancel will result in the loss of the full payment. At your request, we will convert your unused Camp registration fees into a tax-deductible donation to Circus Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, to be used for future Camp scholarships.
Cancelling aftercare prior to the associated week of camp will result in a 50% REFUND. Aftercare is non-refundable once the week of camp has begun.
LATE PICKUP POLICY
By 5:30 pm, our instructors have worked a full, long day, and it’s time for them to clock out and go home. We therefore strictly enforce the following policy: for every 5 minutes that each child remains in our care after 5:30, we charge a $10 late pickup fee.
On Fridays, we begin charging a $10 late pickup fee for every 5 minutes that each child remains in our care after 3:15 pm.
*Cancellations due to sickness or injury require a doctor’s note from a medical MD (if you are a doctor, you may not write your own note), within 30 days of the incident, for refund or make-up authorization. Please submit to the Program Manager.
